Singapore
Singapore is a big busy city, and there is a lot of attractions to keep you busy, so it is important to work out how long you intend to be in the city, as well as what you want to get from Singapore. Many people believe a day or two is all they need, others will stay for a week or more. In our opinion, three or four days gives enough time to dart around to most the areas we mention in on the page. However, you could very easily stay for considerably longer.
This is the primary destination for what Singapore has always been famous for -Shopping bargains! It is easy to get to, and many hotels have a free shuttle bus. Alternatively the Somerset or Orchard MRT stations will place you right into the thick of things. This area has over 40 shopping centres ( not shops, shopping centres!), specializing in everything from electrical goods, cameras, phones, designer goods, clothes and the probably the greatest range of well priced, upmarket goods anywhere in the world. You can get lost in the bustle here for a couple of hours, or a couple of weeks, depending on your shopping inclination, as well as how much money you wish to spend.

Orchard Rd is the shopping area that is defiantly worth visiting, and it stretches for several kilometers along Orchard Rd (obviously), as well as the surrounding side streets.
