This Thailand Itinerary is one of our favourites. It is an interesting cross section of most of the attractions of Thailand, but without the large amount of travelling that would be involved if you were to go to the extreme north and extreme south of the country. As with any Thialand Itinerary, the length of time to make this trip is a mid range estimate, and can easliy be done much quicker. Obviously, is you are loving the islands, you could make this trip last for months if you wish! In addition, you can mix and match this, and any of our other itineraries, to include anything else that intersts you, or alternitively, leave out bits you dont want to see.

Highlights of this Thailand Itinerary
This Thailand itinerary begins with arrival in Bangkok, at the modern new international airport of Suvarnabhumi, and is followed by the interesting wrestle to get to downtown Bangkok via taxi. Once a selection has been made as to which of the tourist areas of Bangkok you stay in, you then progress to see the wonderful sights of the city, starting with the Grand Palace. In addition you will travel along the Chao Phraya river to experience Bangkok daily life. Once finished in Bangkok, you catch the short train ride to Ayuthaya, the ancient capital, to visit the many spectacular temple ruins. From Ayuthaya, its bus, train or taxi to Pattaya, for some nightlife, with plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment to pass a few days and nights. Eventually you will feel like an island escape, so you will go to both Ko Samet and Ko Chang for some beach time, where you can soak up the sun, and some beach culture. You find both islands quite different from each other, yet both well worth visiting, and spending the rest of your holiday time. Eventually, its back to Bangkok where this Thailand Itinerary started and finishes. start
