Most times of the year, the islands of the archipelago offer a wide variety of accommodation options. Many of the smaller islands are up market, resort style operations, with booking from Singapore and Internationally for package deals only. But there are also plenty of smaller, cheaper places, particularly on Tiomen Island, that can be booked from town. It is best to visit the Plaza R &R, which is located at the ocean end of the main street. Here a potential island visitor can look at a lot of the options for island accommodation, as most of the island tourism operators have booking offices in this complex.
Bookings can be made here year round. As all their offices are side by side, some very good deals can had with a bit of walking around. Most resorts offer full meals and accommodation, as on many of the islands there are no other options.
Tiomen Island has been proclaimed one of the worlds 10 most beautiful islands, with lovely beaches and spectacular rugged inland jungle, complete with monkeys and deer. It world famous for snorkeling and diving, but compared to many of the other islands up either side of the Malay peninsular, it is still relatively unspoilt and unknown. Any of the smaller islands, although not as spectacular, a certainly peacefully and relaxing.
