A transfer into Kuta only takes ten to fifteen minutes, and costs only 30,000 rupiah (a little over US$3). A taxi-booking booth operates from just right of the exit gate, and has a fixed price cost matrix on display to deliver you to any of the islands tourist towns. This service is a little more expensive than a regular taxi that you could get in the street, but it is convenient. It is possible to ignore these guys, and walk across the pickup area to the carpark adjoining, and cut out the middleman. You should then be able to get a taxi on the meter, and then only have to pay approximately 20,000 rupiah to Kuta South. Keep in mind; we are only talking about savings of US$1 here!
