This 18 day Itinerary starts with our arrival in the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok. We spend several days exploring this multifaceted metropolis, from the cultural to the bizarre. While in Bangkok, we shop, eat and sightsee, and we travel about by river boat, train, MRT, and sawngthaew. From Bangkok we visit a ethnic minority Black Thai Village, where we help out on the family farm for a few days, before moving on by train to marvel at the ancient capital, Ayuthaya. From there it is back to the coast where we visit hedonistic Pattaya. Finally, we are ready for some relaxing beach time, and split our time between the beautiful tropical islands of Ko Samet and Ko Chang. read more
This months feature - Travel Insurance A MUST
Planning is incredibly important to make sure you have a successful holiday adventure. One of those that can cause a lot of conflicting opinions, is Travel Insurance. For many years I never took travel Insurance before travelling overseas, as I was always on a tight budget, and didn't think I could afford it. I as not alone, as I still often hear horror stories from other travellers who's run of luck came to a frightening end.  Now I believe you cannot afford to travel to South East Asia without it, as the costs are too high if something goes wrong. Insurance that gets you home for emergency treatment, instead of time in an Asian hospital, should be a priority for any traveller.
We seek flexible insurers, and of course, cost is also important. As a result, we have partnered with World Nomads Travel Insurance, to bring to our readers what we consider to be  great value, great coverage Travel Insurance.
